Ran this on my drum sander for a maple floor and the zirconia grit held up way longer than the aluminum oxide I used before. The cloth backing doesn't shred at the edges like paper rolls do. Cut my abrasive costs in half doing it this way.

Cutting my own 8 inch strips from this roll saved me a fortune compared to buying pre-cut belts for my drum sander. The zirconia grit chews through hard maple without loading up half as fast as the aluminum oxide I used before. Two passes and the old finish was gone.

I was nervous about spending this much on a roll, but the zirconia grit really does eat through my old oak floors without loading up. One 25-yard roll covered my whole living room and hallway with plenty left over. The cloth backing hasn't torn once, even on the drum edges.
