Our closed coat aluminum oxide sanding belts are designed specifically for use on metal. This industrial grade material features a load and heat reducing top coat, making it excellent for knife making and other metalworking applications. Heavy duty X-weight backing can handle spritzing but is not fully waterproof. Hand built in the USA.

These belts cut through steel tubing way faster than the generic ones I had before, and they haven't loaded up with metal dust yet. The closed coat surface really does seem to keep the heat down during longer sanding sessions.
