Our open coat aluminum oxide sanding belts are both versatile and economical. This industrial grade material is anti-loading and anti-static, making it excellent for woodworking and many other sanding applications. This is great sanding belt to have around the shop for general use. Durable X-weight backing is designed for dry applications only. If you are a woodworker, these belts are for you!     Bought these for sanding oak stair treads and the open coat really does keep them from loading up like the cheap belts I used before. Cut through the old finish way faster than I expected, and no static cling with the dust hose hooked up.

    I run these on a 107-inch edge sander and the open coat keeps them from loading up on pine, which was my main problem with the cheaper belts. Cut is consistent across the full 8-inch width, no fraying at the seam after a few hours. Ordering more.
