Polishing Mold Finishing Stones

Polishing Mold Finishing Stones - Main image

Let's face it, few find pleasure in hand sanding.

Knife makers rejoice! Ditch the paper and use finishing stones to reduce the tedium of using 9 x 11 sheets. These stones are great for flat work and will polish countless blade (and other work pieces). Simply coat the stone in oil (mineral oil / gun oil, etc.), apply the same oil to your blade and sand. We recommend using a 180-240G stone after a 120G grind, then moving up to a 600G stone (or switch to hand sanding) if desired.

Timothy Y. ★★★★★

Hand sanding was always the worst part of a build, but these stones on a flat bevel changed that. The 9x11 sheets used to wear out and dish on me, and the stones stay flat and keep cutting.

Penelope ★★★★★

These stones cut my finishing time way down compared to the 9x11 sheets I was burning through. They stay flat and bite evenly across the whole bevel, which is exactly what I needed for flat work. Genuinely glad I switched.

Lily ★★★★★

I put off flattening my knife blanks for weeks because I hate sanding paper. These stones handle the flat work so much better, staying true and not tearing like sheets do. My bevels have never come out this even.
