I’ve been running these on my 6x48 sander for a couple weeks now, and the closed coat is holding up way better than the last belts I tried—they don’t load up nearly as fast on mild steel. The heat reduction is noticeable too, no scorching on the workpiece even after back-to-back passes.

These belts cut through steel much faster than the cheaper ones I'd tried, and they haven't loaded up with metal dust yet. The closed coat definitely helps with the heat reduction on long runs.

Finally got these for my 6x48 sander, and the closed coat really does cut down on heat buildup compared to the generic belts I was using. They’re holding up well after a dozen uses on some mild steel.
